We have entered read-only mode for the API and website. During this period functionality will be limited and some actions will be unavailable (e.g., uploads, site registration, and new session logins). We will continue to post updates here.

We will be undergoing planned maintenance during this time. For approximately 60 minutes during this period we will move the API (api.giphy.com) and website (giphy.com) into a read-only mode, at which time some functionality will be unavailable, including: content uploads & modification; site registration; logins (existing sessions will be unaffected); and changes to user profiles. Search functionality will be unaffected during the database upgrade.
We will post updates to the status page throughout the maintenance period.
